Round Robin
Everyone takes turns in the order they arrived. It's the one a room can follow without being told how it works. Somebody who arrives late takes their turn like everyone else.
- 2
Auto-Balanced
Evens the games out, catching up whoever is behind. Use it when people drift in all afternoon and you want everyone to finish on roughly the same number of games. A latecomer may play several in a row while they catch up.
- 3
Winners / Losers
Winners play winners and losers play losers. It suits competitive open play. It needs Record who won turned on, and people meet about half the room rather than all of it.
- 4
Skill Separated
Players with similar DUPR ratings play together, on even teams. It's worth it when the room spans a couple of DUPR points. Anyone without a rating is treated as mid-pack until you add one from their row.

Switching mid-session
Open Queue settings and pick a different Matching style. The change takes effect on the next court that frees up, and games already on court carry on.
Settings also tells you the pace ("24 players on 3 courts is about 2.3 games each an hour") and warns you when the numbers mean the same four keep meeting. No matching style can fix that, but adding a player or dropping a court can.
